Reopening Update
Wednesday November 11th
Exciting news! The long wait is over. Babies to KIDS Swim School reopens this Saturday 14 November!
David is sending individual emails to clients to confirm their class day/ time. Please email davidp@babiestokids.com.au if you do not hear from him by Friday 13/11/20 or if you would prefer to change the class given to you. David is currently being overwhelmed with a flood of calls and emails so please be patient with this swim coach, lockdown has made his admin skills a bit rusty :)
Contact David if you'd like to volunteer some of your time to our swim school https://www.babiestokids.com.au/contact-us.html or phone m: 0425 732 142 for a chat. He may need it.
Remember that there are spots still available. Even though they are being snapped up there is still time to get yours - be quick! For clients enrolled back when we closed on 23 March 2020 click here. For new clients click here
Monday November 9th
Daniel Andrews announced yesterday that Melbourne indoor swimming pools' allowed maximum is 20 people (or one per 4 square metres) Our pool area is 14 metres x 5.75 metres = 80.5 square metres which means that we can safely stay within government restrictions with our 3 pupils per class and run 3 classes at any one time.
Complexities with hiring facilities mean we have to wait just a little longer for the Victorian Department of Education and Training to allow hydrotherapy pools to be accessed for swimming lessons.
We have come this far. Waiting a little longer will be worth it. Keep and eye on our Instagram and Facebook pages for our exciting reopening date!

Monday September 21st
It is becoming more likely that November 23 is our earliest reopening date folks (subject to no new Victorian COVID-19 cases for the two weeks prior) Peak Australian swimming industry bodies Australian Swim Coaches & Teachers Association and Royal Life Saving Society are lobbying for swim schools to reopen before then so that children can resume water safety education and learn to swim lessons sooner, especially since the swimming season is upon us. We will keep all our swim school families notified of our firm reopening date at least a week in advance via email and Instagram/ facebook posts, so keep an eye out!
Please see our current news sheet here
Tuesday July 7th
A reminder that our swim school has a TEMPORARY CLOSURE from Monday March 23rd until further notice.
Last week we chose to pause our reopening date of 11/7/20 due to the growing spike in Melbourne COVID-19 cases. The most recent Victorian Government announcement today of re-imposing stage 3 restrictions across Melbourne from midnight tomorrow means that we will not reopen for at least 6 more weeks. Hopefully things will improve to the point where we can confidently reopen in mid August.
However, we will ALWAYS take a cautious approach to reopening, guided by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS)
Please continue to check your email inbox and our Facebook/ Instagram posts for updates. For any questions please contact us via email: davidp@babiestokids.com.au
Thank you to all our swim school families for continued co-operation and understanding during this time.
Stay safe and we will see you in good time.

Monday June 29th
A reminder that our swim school has a TEMPORARY CLOSURE from Monday March 23rd until further notice.
Unfortunately we will not be reopening on or planned date of July 11th due to the recent spike in Victorian COVID-19 cases. Health and safety is always our highest priority so for now we have no reopening date in mind. We WILL reopen; we just don't know when. And we have our Aquatics Industry COVIDSafe Plan in place as endorsed by the Victorian Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS).
